Cycling trails? Are you serious? LP Guide has a little information: at some places you find friendly people and easy access to camp sites. Other cyclists complain about road-hog drivers, rotten road surfaces, and stone-throwing children. Most popular routes are those along the coasts, between Marmaris and Antalya.

I,m in Konya right now, having cycled from Istanbul (500k) in the last week. My thoughts are as follows:

1. Country ýs beautiful, and people are wonderful.
2. Lots of Turkey-rýdýng involves clýmbing and dropping...
3. On the roads that ;go somewhere; (I can,t fýgure out the punctuation on this danged keyboard - those are supposed to be quote marks!) you will be sharing the road wýth massive trucks. My experience (most recently this morning) is that the trucks are not hostile. But after 500 pass you, you wýll have an experience or two that makes you wonder...
4. If you select roads that don,t lead to other cities, you should have some great rýdes.

Bill.
