hey
i am in turkey at the moment with my bike and a tent and cooking stove. if u stay out of istanbul it is very cheap: i.e. bread costs about 0.15eurocents, 1l milk for about 50eurocents
in cheap hotels u can find a bed for about 6-8euros

istanbul is more than double of this

i needed about 400euro for a whole month all incl

if u need more info let me know...where r u going to travel and more important how? bus is very cheap...12hrs bus cost not more than 25euro

Hi Danielito
Thanks for your response. We are group of 4 adults and plan 7 days trekking in specific area of the Bolkar mountains. Our route, approximately, is:
Fly from Istanbul to Adena. from there by bus to the town Pozante. From there start trekking to Elmali Valley, Karabogaz Valley, karagöl, karatepe, Meydan Plateau.
Because lack of information till yet nothing was fixed about the route. we don't know if in those places there are facilities for independent backpackers. however this problem would not stop us travling to Turkey. As I can speak a little turkçe we will come to the area and somehow manage our way. Anyhow I would be glad to hear from you advices and tips
