Hi, I need some help. I can budget out 3-4 days for a cabin charter and am trying to decide b/w the Bodrum-Karacasogut route, vs. the Olympos to Fethiye route. I've never been on a Blue Cruise before, so am looking largely for the best one for my time. I'm not too keen on being on a boat of partyers, and mainly want to relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery.
My itinerary for the Bodrum-Karacasogut charter would mainly look like this: board Sunday night, dinner on boat; Karaada and Cati on Monday; Seven Islands on Tuesday; and Longoz Bat/arrive in Karacasogut on Wednesday (followed by bus to Dalaman and flight back to Istanbul).
The Olympos to Fethiye itinerary would look like this: Fly to Antalya, bus to Olympos, boat departs on Sun from Harbor Andriake and see Pirates Cave; Sunken City Kekova, Simena Castle, Ufakdere, and Yacht Harbor Kas on Monday; Butterfly Valley and Blue Lagoon Oludeniz on Tuesday; and Tarzan Bay/arrive in Fethiye on Wednesday (followed by bus to Pamukkale, and then on to Izmir).
Also, I'm already planning on being in Bodrum for a day or two during my two-week trip anyway, b/c of a wedding, so it's not like I'd be missing out on Bodrum by taking the Olympos/Fethiye charter.
Thanks so much... I'd really love some advice on which itinerary to go with... Finally, I was planning on using Turkey Travel Planner-recommended company "Bodex Yachting". Does anyone have any experience with this company (also, any idea why the Bodrum charter might be 100euros more expensive than the Olympos one?)? Thanks in advance for your help!
If it was me i would go for the Olympos to Fethiye way, should be less people and not so much of the party people although it all depends on who you go cruising with isnt it? . You will stop at some really nice bays and Olympos is the most chilled out place ive been in Turkey. Bodrum is very much geared for the party so if you already have to go there for the wedding, and you are not into that scene.....definalty go option 2. ....just my thoughts :)
not sure why there is price difference of that much...maybe because its busier, more popular, ??? make sure you check exactly what is included and whats not, food drinks etc (were there alcoholic drinks included for the bodrum one??)
Thanks for the advice, artemisyoruk. I think you're right, and I'll probably do the Olympos to Fethiye trip. I am now choosing b/w Bluecruise Org or Bodex Yachting. If anyone has any advice or experience w/ either of these companies, I'd really appreciate it. Also, anyone know of the best way to get from Olympos to Bodrum or vice versa? Thanks as always!
