So i want to go from Zagreb to Venice on the 26 of November
Train to Ljubljana. Bus to Venice. Take an early train to Ljubljana (2 hours 40 minutes): There is a direct bus from the Ljubljana bus station (Ljubljana Avtobusna Postaja, which is outside the central railway station) to a number of destinations in Venice (in Slovene: 'Benetke' so look for that in the bus timetable). Stops include Venice Marco Polo airport, and the Venice Mestre railway station. The service departs at 11:30 and takes four hours. Buy your ticket at the bus station, and find the timetable here: If you miss the direct bus, or it is full, take a bus to Trieste (look for 'Trst' in Slovenian) and take the train from there. | 1
I think there is also a direct bus all the way. That may be the cheapest option... | 2
Trains to Venice via Ljubljana & Budapest too. | 3

@ytm:
You could check at the station in Zagreb the night before departure. Or use the ever-reliable http://www.bahn.de/p_en/view/index.shtml @lucapal:
Yes, you're right. Now that I've looked into it: one-way ticket for EUR 33, departures six days a week at 08:00, travel time is six hours. Adding: Ah, I see also that the same bus advice was given in the OP's thread in the other branch. So presumably that has worked itself out. | 6
