You can either take the weekly international train from Vladivostok to Harbin and, from there, one of the daily trains to Beijing or take the international bus between Vladivostok and Harbin and then the train to Beijing.

The train is rather slow but nothing beats reading a nice book and having a nice bottle to the characteric sound of wheels on tracks. Though I'll admit it's an acquired taste...

Thank you very much fpr the good links. If I use the first Link, I see that the Vladivostok - Harbin train goes twice weekly. Am I wrong?
Is tehre any other way to go from Vladivostok to Bejing, eccept for flights?

Could be that the train is now twice-weekly... there was only one a week when I was there two years ago. Things change...

As far as I can see, short of flying, that's the only way.

Yes there are several other possibilities. If you check the New Russia Sticky and my the Vladivostok page on my website, there is some information about other options for traveling from Vlad to Harbin. From Harbin you can catch the train to Beijing.

1. Take the train to the border and cross and take a train from the other side. I am pretty sure that there are daily trains on either side and this saves the long time at the border while they change the wheel carriages.

2. I am pretty sure that there is bus service and reportedly the new service is faster as the border crossing doesn't take as long.

3. You can take the bus to the Kraskino - Hunchun border, then catch a bus to Yanji and then travel onwards to Harbin and Beijing. Yanji itself is not worth a stopover. I was there once for a night or two but remember nothing as I had a high fever and spent most of the time in bed.

You can check the flight possibilities here: Vlad airport schedule
