Rovinj to Venice Transport

Hi

Myself and my girlfriend will be in Rovinj in September for a music festival and are looking to leave Rovinj to head to Venice on the 17th or 18th September to fly home and was wondering what the cheapest transportation options there are as we are on a bit of a budget.

By far the cheapest way is by bus to Triest, from there train to Venice.
