Pula coliseum questionCountry forums / Eastern Europe & the Caucasus / Croatia
Hey all. I plan to dip down into Croatia from Slovenia to see Rovinj and Pula (mainly the coliseum) in the latter part of July. Unfortunately my dates are not flexible and the Pula film festival will be going on then. My question for you all is whether I will get to see the coliseum or not (tour from the inside) or if there would be exhorbident entry costs into the coliseum at that time. In other words, would a trip to Pula just to see the coliseum (although I know there are other Roman ruins there) be worth it given the time I would go? Possibly too the festival "trappings" would ruin the atmosphere there anyway. Let me know your thoughts.
Okay, I'm going to auto-answer my question, just in case any readers are curious. I got in contact with the people from the Pula Film Festival, and a very helpful woman gave me the information I needed. The coliseum will be operating like normal during the day, and any night viewing would involve buying a ticket to the film festival as such. Cheers | 1
