One day in rainy Bucharest

I will be transiting via Bucharest on the 8 March and now it seems that it will be raining all day. Are there any interesting exhibitions going on (or something similar) where I could spend half a day?

In addition, can anyone tell me what is the best way to get to the airport from the city centre?
