Nightclubs in Istanbul???

Hi

My girlfriend and I are in Istanbul and have one friday night to burn. We are looking for a good club not too far from the city centre (we are staying in sultanahmet). Ideally it would play good dance music, a little on the hard side (not pop), breakbeats or the like.

Any suggestion would be really, really appreciated!

There is no night-life in Sultanahmet. Head for Taksim for nightclubs. Babylon is probably the most famous nightclub in Istanbul but there are plenty of other options in Taksim.

Is Babylon open in the summer? many of Istanbul's night venues move to their summer locations on the Bosphorus between june and september so it is better to ask at your hotel.The above post is correct,there is no nightlife in Sultanahmet.

Head to Beyoglu on the main strýp Istiklal Cad there' a club called 360 ýt's in the latest LP guýde under restaurants. It serves food and then becomes a club I saw a Defected House Dj there last week. The locals stood around and drank mostly. It has a great výew, though a vodka red bull was 25L!!!

Head to Beyoglu (taksim) again....
Don't drop too away from Istiklal street but on the way or the strees meeting with Istiklal have hundreds of pubs and clubs...
