Honeymoon trip to Croatia in October 2014

Country forums / Eastern Europe & the Caucasus / Croatia

Hi There

We are getting married in October in Scotland and have our hearts set on visiting Croatia on our Honeymoon. It looks to be really difficult (if not impossible) to fly direct from Scotland at this time of year so I was looking for some advice on any intermediate destinations that are worthwhile visiting?

We are not too bothered about the weather but if anyone can give any advice on what weather to expect that would be very much appreciated!

Thanks again
Michael

Where could you fly to?

Could you get to Manchester? Ryanair flies to Zadar twice weekly.

Why not try Skyscanner?

Put in your nearest airport, and the destination aiport in Croatia.

Then see what options it gives you...there may be something interesting as a stopover....

On the weather..I haven't been to Croatia in October, but I'd say probably warm in the south (eg Dubrovnik)..maybe 18-20° or so,with some sun and some rain.

Colder in somewhere like Zagreb..by the end of October there will be real autumn temperatures there, maybe 10° or less...
