Getting to Donetsk from the UK

Hi, I was just wondering what people thought was the best way to get to Donetsk from London.

AFAIK, budget airlines fly only as far as Kyiv, and then there would be an internal flight/train to Donetsk.

Anyone have any ideas how to get there cheaply please?

As far as I'm aware, this would be the budget option...

Austrian airlines with a changeover in Vienna, they have sometimes some pretty good promotions

Wizzair or Aerosvit Crazy Friday specials to Kiev, then train to Donetsk. Train options are "Lux" (Deluxe, 2 ppl per compartment and expensive,) Regular "Koopay" (4 per compartment,) or "Platz Kart" (cheapest, but you're in a big open compartment with many people. If you don't know the language, and look like a foreigner, I'd avoid the last option if you want to hang on to your belongings. ;-) You want a regular "Koopay" and you want a bottom berth, because there's space under the bed for your belongings, and they're safer that way. If you are traveling alone, try not to drink too much, and only go to the rest room (at both ends of each train "vagon,") when everyone else is asleep!
