Has anyone been on a tour run by the company Eastern Trekker? Just wondering how you found their service, accom etc. and the general vibe of the whole tour?
My boyfriend and I are thinking of doing the Bohemian Trek (starts in Budapest, through Vienna to Prague). We're thinking of doing an organised tour so as to avoid the hassles of getting around independently as we figure this might be difficult for us in Eastern Europe as we only speak English.

Millions of only-English speakers have gone before you - unless you are under 16 it should be easy to travel through central Europe independently without any hassle. Just read a guidebook and browse some websites before you go so that you know where to go for money exchange (use ATMs), tickets (avoid touts) etc etc as unwitting tourists are all to often ripped off. If you stay at hostels you'll meet up with lots of like-minded young people that are up for partying or sightseeing or whatever so it's bound to be fun.

The chance of someone being able to answer your question from their own experience is quite small, as most of the questions on this forum arise in the course of independent travel, so people here are less likely to have travelled on a tour. Still, maybe you'll be lucky!
As #1 said, getting around this area is not difficult for English speakers and lots of people do it all time. Foreigners are not expected to be fluent in Czech or Hungarian! I don't know where else is on the itinerary you mentioned but Budapest/Vienna/Prague are all major tourist destinations well used to catering for foreigners. That's not to say that a tour isn't for you if you enjoy that kind of travel. But if your only reason for choosing a tour is because of language worries, you may be restricting yourselves unnecessarily.
