Can anybody tell how Russian TV covers the current events in Tibet?

Hi all,

In June, I've got a 6am flight departure out of Pulkovo - to Frankfurt, to catch a flight back to the States. Seems rather useless to book a night of accommodation given the fact that I suppose I'll need to be at the airport at 4am (if not a little before). So I was wondering if anyone has any success taking the last metro out of the city and spending the night in the terminal?

I have two questions:

• is there a web site where I can check out the prices for the different trains for the different classes (platzkartney, Kype, lux) so that I can compare which is financially best for me
• when I book a platzkartney place is this a sleeping place or it is a normal seating place with no possibilities for sleeping
• and last are the platzkartney places sold with reservation for a specific place or you just get into the wagon and look for a free one?

Hi - I'll be spending 5 nights in Russia in August (St. Petersburg only) - I have my accommodations reserved, an invitation from the hotel and am now in the process of filling out my visa application. I would like to visit Novgorod for one day (leaving St P early in the morning and returning to St P in the evening).

My question is: on the "Points of Destination" section on the Russian visa application, do I need to include Novgorod as a day excursion? If I only put down St Petersburg, could…

There are two russian language schools for foreigners in sankt petersburg. One is http://russian-language.org/ Can someone give me the web adress or the name of the second one? I haven't been able to find it over a search engine.

Have limited time in these two cities and want to prebook accommodation and train (not travelling backpacker style). Any recommendations for good agents in Aust or other ways to do this. Need to do this fast to meet visa requirements.

I am planning to make the Trans Mongolian trip this summer but I have some questions about the train schedules in Russia. I will give an example:
- I want to travel from Novosibirsk to Irkutsk and I have found a train (I think #045) which is scheduled to leave Novosibirsk at 8:20 and arrive in Irkutsk at 15:27, but are these local times or Moscow time?

If these are Moscow times can you recommend a train with which I may leave Novosibirsk in the morning and arrive in Irkutsk next day…

Hello, can anyone please give some guidance about how to get a "propiska" for a Russian citizen who is without a propiska and is not present in Russia. Can be any place in Russia, better if in a small inexpensive city, town or even village. Note, this is not the registration for foreigners. A propiska is the registration of a Russian citizen but the procedure and rules are different. Thank you.
