I tried yesterday and today to buy a ticket from St P to Moscow but it was rejected both times after trying to confirm the payment. Does this have anything to do with economic sanctions? I don't think it's my bank but I will call them after the weekend anyway. Also, I'm trying the same VISA debit card that has worked in the past.

My boyfriend and I are currently in Moscow and are traveling on the Trans Siberian on Monday night... We have been hoping to meet up with some people along the way, the Scottish accent is very hard to understand, that and the fact our Russian is very very basic, we haven't met anyone as of yet and would be nice if anyone is doing the same trip :)

Does anyone know/have a solution to the problem I have filling in the online Russian visa application. I'm trying to do it from Beijing, China and have used lots of alphabetical ad numeric combinations. All I ever get is
Password does not meet complexity requirements (at least one alphabetical symbol and one numeric symbol).
So I'm stuck at the enter a password page. Any suggestion or advice welcome.

I'm planning to go 2 days to Moscow and 2 days to St Petersburg to the main tourist sites, I don't speak any Russian (sorry). I would like some help on how to get from the Airport in Moscow (sheremetyevo airport) to the Red square taking the Metro? (My Hotel is very close to the red square), and How to get train tickets from Moscow to St Petersburg. Do I need to get the tickets in advance? or can I buy them once in Moscow?
