I am an Australian on study exchange in Stockholm, Sweden for about 6 months and want to go for 5 nights to St Petersburg at the start of April. I have read that you usually have to apply for a visa for Russia in your home country but I'm not confident that I'd be able to send my passport and application to Australia, have it processed and receive it back in Sweden in time for me to go to Russia in April and with travel planned afterwards I'm not going to risk it. So even though the Stockholm…

Kate and I are hoping to have a go at this in early July. Would be grateful for any advice re feasibility, quiet and safe routes and places to stay.

Many thanks

Hi there

I will be visiting Saint Petersburg (from 22nd March) for 3,5 days and wanted to know about which places should be a must seen in this city (I'm reserving a full day for the Hermitage).

Plus if anyone is intending to visit at the same date feel free to join me :)

Hey everyone,

I'll be in the Baikal area for about five days from July 9/10th-15th, and I really want to camp for at least 1-2 nights and do some trekking. I'm a solo traveler though, and many of the tours are more than I'd like to spend. Does anyone wanna join? Or have any recommendations about doing this solo female? Thanks! 😊 happy trails

I'm planning a trip to the Scandinavia area this summer (mid-June) and would like to visit St. Petersburg and Moscow. I've been to Moscow before (2010) and I'm not really concerned about safety in regards to things like pick-pocketing or robbery. However, I'm worried about the visa process, and if it's wise overall to visit Russia right now. Has anyone been recently, or know someone who has? Is the feeling toward Americans particularly hostile? Your thoughts are appreciated!

Hi Friends,

My buddy and I are two surfers out of Southern California, USA who are doing a very short trip in Russia March 5 - March 9. We are very friendly and currently training for a triathlon. We are looking for locals and fellow travelers to spend some time and get to know the city with - and maybe train with (either running or visiting the Chaika swimming pool).

Cheers!
Miguel

Hi
We are considering having two Int'l flights with Aeroflot with very short connection in SVO airport (1 hour only).
The Aeroflot booking system allows us to book such tickets, but after searching the airport site and map I see that the minimal time they request between two Int'l connecting flights is 50min to 1H10min (depending on the terminals).
We will be traveling with a child which might slow us a bit down if we need to run.... and slight delays are not uncommon....
Does anybody have an…

Hi,
My questions relates to a Russian transit visa for a short trip to Siberia.

I’m traveling around the world by bicycle and this March I wondered if I could ride from Mongolia into Russia (crossing at Altanbulag), do a short loop via Irkutsk and Lake Baikal, and then exit back into Mongolia.

As a British citizen the Russian embassy’s website in Ulan Bator (and Legend Tours) note that I must get a Russian tourist visa in my home country as the UK is not on their list of approved nations…

Anyone on the forum used "express to russia" travel agent recently. They are based in SP. Have been dealing with them over the internet for a trip to Russia in May and just wanted re-assurance of their reliability and legitimacy.

Appreciate your feedback.
