Have to take a flight out of DME Friday night 1840. Would like to spend Thurs night in Suzdal.

Have conflicting info from LP and waytorussia.

Can't afford, obviously, to miss that flight, so would anyone care to offer recent advice/info on how to get from Suzdal to Moscow and on to DME by public transport,

Thanks loads as always.

If you can get to Vladimir, there are many trains into Moscow. Not a very long ride from Vladimir. Public transport from Suzdal to Vladimir is possible, but I don't know the schedule. I took it both ways and it seemed to run every hour or so. Not a very long ride. But don't count on any English being spoken. They even had a hard time understanding how I said Suzdal!! ;-)

If you are pressed for time, get a taxi. The bus is really slow. Not sure exactly how to get to DME once in Moscow, but I am sure there is a subway route you can take...

Transport from the center of Moscow to DME is quite easy. From the Paveltskaya train/metro station there is an express train. Take a look at the Airport website, domodedovo.ru. There are train schedules online and also it should tell you whether your plane tickets gets you a free ride or not.

It won't be easy to guarantee getting from Suzdal to Moscow on a Friday.

There are two possible ways to travel. One is the bus from Suzdal to Moscow. It takes about 4 hours. The bus starts in Ivanova and I am not sure that you can prebook tickets which means there may or may not be seats available. To make your plane, your bus would need to arrive in Moscow you would need to board the express train about 1500-1600.

The other way to get from Suzdal to Moscow is to take the bus to Vladimir and the train from there to Moscow. It takes a little longer but you have a better chance of being sure of getting a seat.

To be on the safe side, get an early bus Suzdal' to Vladimir (takes half an hour) and there take a bus or a train to Moscow (depending what is available immediately; 3 hours not including the waiting time). Both arrive to Kursky train station, from there by public transportation you can count for 2 hours to the airport. Should be feasible, but you really have to start early.
