I would like to visit Russia from July 1st until approximately August 18th. I expect to fly into Moscow, travel by train to Vladivostok and then fly to Seoul. I could, potentially, do the same route in the other direction.

I understand that for a stay of that length I would need a business visa, and I would need to work with a travel agency to procure the letter of invitation and whatnot.

I'm unclear as to how I actually apply for the visa. The Russian Embassy of Canada's website says "In order to improve visa processing starting August 20, 2014, the Consular Division of the Embassy of the Russian Federation accepts visa applications submitted through authorized Russian Visa Centre "Invisa Logistics Services Canada Ltd" only."

When I go to that company's website (http://www.canada-ils.com/) it seems to imply I need to book an appointment at one of their offices, all of which are thousands of miles from my home.

I assume there has to be a way to get a visa without spending a thousand bucks and three or more days flying to and from this office, but I can't find the information on their website that outlines the alternate procedure. Any ideas?

THANKS

Hi
I don't know how you can get visa without visit Visa center in Canada but in Russia travel agencies provide this service .
And I think you should try to ask this question on tripadvisor forum. I think there are a few person who know this question very well.
