Hi all,

I requested for a refund of my flight with aeroflot.

They responded very quickly that they will refund, but I have not received the refund on my credit after nearly one months.

Just like to ask how long does it usually take to receive the refund. Anyone had any experience with this before?

Thanks in advance! :)

Cheers,
Alexis

I'm afraid it has some relation to the partial boycot and revenge boycot of Russia after the Malaysian Airlines disaster.
They even stopped paying for products delivered before that crash.
I see Australia in your profile, being a key country in all the sad things and asking for a solid policy against Putin c.s. possibly being (partly) responsible
You booked yourself. If by an agency they have to do the job. But if they are more successful: I'm in doubt.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet refunds on airline tickets are a minefield and not all tickets are refundable.
You haven't specifically said why you've asked for a refund so I can only guess it's for a flight you have chosen not to take. Aeroflot staff aren't always the best at giving correct advice, you'll need to look at your ticket to see what the booking class is, Q, T, E, N or R are not generally refundable unless Aeroflot is in someway at fault.
If you are communicating with Aeroflot directly that suggests you booked directly through them and not a third party site.
If you booked using a credit card and feel under the terms of the ticket you bought you are entitled to a refund you could contact the credit card company and present all your evidence, if they agree that you are entitled they will refund your account and pursue Aeroflot for the money.
Some airlines can take as long as 3 months to issue a refund.
My own personal experience with this with Aeroflot was back in 2009, I booked a ticket via a company called Ebookers known elsewhere as Orbitz.
Aeroflot decided to reduce the number of flights on certain routes due to the economic conditions at the time meaning one flight I was due to take was cancelled.
They offered an alternative later flight but this didn't suit my needs so the entire itinerary was cancelled and I was refunded about 3 days later.

arizona: to think that Aeroflot would take revenge on its own customers to get back on sanctions that it was not even hit by is taking it too far. I suggest you change the media that you are following and choose something that does not demonize Russia (or at least does not state that balalika-playing bears walk the streets of Moscow).

Alexis: As michaeldunha said, it depends on your ticket. If it is a budget or a promo tariff, it may not be refundable. Aeroflot may have responded without thinking.
You can also return the ticket yourself through their website.
It would be a good idea to contact them again six weeks - 2 months after the return date.

Yes, good for poetry, but nonsense.
At least you acknowledge changing the media is possible. Of course. it is, I'm not from Russia.

"Aeroflot" stop paying for delivered goods 'cause of sanctions due to Malaysian Boeing, very probably shot down by Ukrainian Nazis BTW?
Oh, I know. Netherlands. Coffeshops.
))
Ontopic - as guys above said it is possible the ticket was not refundable. Their refund policy is here: http://www.aeroflot.ru/cms/en/flight/fares_description
