I know there are already posts concerning this subject. I have been browsing them for hours. My eyes are tired and I could really use some recent Information. I am planning a last minute trip to St. Petersburg from Helsinki for approximately the middle of March. Whatever information anyone has to offer will be appreciated.

I would like to know if I will be able to get a return ferry to Helsinki after two nights in St. Petersburg in order to satisfy the 72 hour no visa requirement?

I would also like to know if I am permitted to stay at a hostel, rather than at a hotel?

Do I really have to pay 25€ to get a shuttle bus from the ferry dock to the centre of St. Petersburg?

I've never been in any Scandinavian countries or Arusha before. It's all new to me.

Thank you.

That's supposed to read "Russia" not "Arusha".
