Hi Everyone. I will be traveling to Russia alone (St. Petes and Moscow) in late May/Early June and I have a few questions for anyone who has been.

  1. I'm American, but of Chinese descent. Is it safe for an Asian male to be traveling alone in Russia?

  2. How many days do you suggest spending in each city?

2) At least 1 week in each

It is safe - there are quite a few Chinese and Korean people who live in Russia, besides, there are many Asian ethnicities, indigenous to the Russian Federation.
A week in each city would be good, but the very least could be four days in St. Petersburg and three days in Moscow just to see the highlights.

1 - yes
2 - Id say 2-3 full days in Moscow and at least 4 in St. Petersburg. The more the better, but St.Petersburg is way more interesting and beautiful IMO.
