hi all
thinking of going over to do some trekking in the transylvanian alps at the end of september/beginning of october but need to know what the climate is like in the mountains this time of year. from what i can make out it should be ok but need to definately be sure things are not gonna get extreme. if there are any doubts july would be an option but going in october is more convenient in getting time off .
many thanks
jon

In late September/early October the weather in the mountains should still be relatively warm, however you'll definitely encounter some rain as well.
Snowfall is unlikely, but not completely impossible at higher altitudes (over 1500m).

i wouldn't recommend going to late, the last time i was out there, there was snow around in the higher altitudes in late august. beware!
