I couldn't find much on the internet either

I love Sighisoara, it's nice to go there even if there are no events going on.

How difficult is it to find private accomodation during the festival, and how much would it cost? I guess all the hostels will be full if just turning up without a reservation?

Didn't know about this festival until now, but I was going to visit Sighisoara anyway at approximately the same dates so that was a nice surprise! Can't book anything in advance though as my travel dates are a bit flexible...

I was at the festival once and stayed at some of my mother's aquaintances. They ripped me off. The following night I stayed in a strange house, slept on the floor with another 15 people in the room but it was much cheaper and nicer.
I had a friend travelling all across Romania to be at the festival and he was sleeping in a hospital (because his mom knew someone there - that is how things go in Romania - mothers are key).

I think most people will stay in a tent in the camping site - tried that too, very nice camping site close to the town center or they will just fall asleep on the green grass around the church.

The idea is that young people will want to pay the cheapest price for accommodation, they will sleep under the stars and just be there and save the money for beer (food is optional). So hopefully you will be able to find something in a guest house or a hotel.

Yesterday I found here some details about the festival. Unfortunately the website is in Romanian (as if they do not think outside the medieval box):

http://www.sighisoara-medievala.ro/

There will be medieval music, dances, competitions etc.

The contact details of the producer can be found here: http://www.sighisoara-medievala.ro/contact.html (maybe he is too busy to reply)
