Eurowings is indeed fully owned by Lufthansa. It only owns smaller planes, like the Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet, which I think are actually nicer to fly in than the bigger 737s and the like.

On board you can expect the standard sandwich (no more meals nowadays) and a few drinks (includes alcohol). One of the few airlines where they still serve beer from the bottle :-)
