there used to be at least 3-and 1 a little more upmarket-but all seem to have been renovated and got new higehr prices-and really for rec NO one ever was, in fact that whole area never ever was. CHeckt he usual sites like hostelworld and hostelz for alternatives and easy access.

You really should try to stay in some other part of Bucharest, the area around the main train station is one of the ugliest in the city.
Anyway, the budget hotels in that area are Coco (prices start at €20), which is right next to the station, Marna (prices also start around €20) and Cameliei (starts at about €22) -these last two places are about 5-10 minutes walk from the station.

Thanks.
We're only stayıng one nıght and arrıvıng late some somewhere near the station ıs convenient.

Hey, I know that now it's too late, but, may I suggest, for next time, that you should check out http://www.hotelsbucharestromania.com/? There are plenty accommodation options there, of all kinds, and across the entire city. Hope this will help people planning to visit Bucharest in the near future!
