Public Transport

You need a valid ticket to travel by public transport. Tickets for trams and buses can be purchased in Kiosks (little shops with newspapers and cigarettes), on ticket machines on some of the tram stops, and, with a surcharge, from the driver.

Ticket prices:
single-trip ticket (without interchange) 2,50 PL
one-hour ticket 3,10 PLN
24-hour ticket 10,40 PLN
48-hour ticket 18,80 PLN
72-hour ticket 25,00 PLN.

Tickets must be validate (stamped) as soon as you get…

I will be in Poland in May. I want to visit Poland, Ukrain and baltic countries by car. Is it a good idea?? If yes please advise me about good car rental companies.

Hi, I will be in Krakow for about a week in early March. I was wondering if a day trip to Zakopane is worth making or not (since only for one day). If I were not planning to ski, is it still worth visiting? Are the views worth the trip? Is the town charming (outside of the main touristy area)?

I was looking at some cheap flights to Wroclaw which would give us 3.5 days in the city. Is there enough to do in the area (including day trips) to occupy this time?

From what I can see Wroclaw is a beautiful but quite small city? I have previously enjoyed long weekends in Krakow and Gdansk and am keen to go back to Poland. I was also considering Warsaw but the flights are much more expensive for when I want to go.

headed to poland 14th may thru 25th, start in warsaw (2 days) then drive to krakow through czestochowa and Auschwitz. heading to zacopane and found village of lesnica that looks interesting. anyone been there? looking for a real non-touristy spot in the tatras. Will have car entire trip so looking to explore a bit of the real poland?

What's the bus timetable for Warsaw to Wroclaw on 13th August?
The bus timetable across into Germany to Berlin from Wroclaw on 14th or 15th August?
I would also like to know the train timetable from Warsaw to Brest (Belarus)…

My friends and I are planning on traveling through Poland in July. We plan on starting in Auschwitz (for a day) and ending up in Krakow that night. (We aren't sure how we're getting to Auschwitz yet, but we'll probably meet in Prague or something.) We then want to go to Warsaw, but would like somewhere to stop and see on the way. From Warsaw, we want to go to Torun, and then on to Ciechocinek. We'll fly out of Warsaw after Ciechocinek back home.

At present my plan is to come down from Lithuania via Gdansk, Torun and Krakow and then to Zakopane, and then to Lvov.

I'm thinking of dropping Torun from my original itinerary partially because of time and partially becuase I have a feeling that these three cities will start to look the same if you rush through them.....

If you had to drop one of Gdansk, Torun or Krakow from itinerary which would it be?
