I'm looking for a romantic escape in Poland for me and my lady friend, no more than 3-5 hours away from Warsaw (driving time) that offers, peace, quiet, serenity, nature and a spa and decent hotel accommodations, but of course, nothing too pricey!!

Does anyone have any recommendations?!

Thanks!!

Maybe one of the spa towns in the north of the Czech Republic, like Marianske Lazne or Frantiskovy Lazne...Karlovy Vary is the obvious one but 'quiet' wouldn't really apply here...the pick of the destinations in this area might be Loket nad Ohri which is one of the most picturesque towns in the entire country...although not a 'spa town' itself, it is within striking distance of all the other towns mentioned above...

I have no idea about spas as such... but you should consider traditional spa towns such as Nałęczów or Ciechocinek. Nałęczów in itself is a lovely town, and Ciechocinek is very calm, and very close to Toruń, a major tourist attraction.

I had a look at rankings of "best spa hotels" and this brought up Hotel Warszawianka at the Zegrze Reservoir (source here), Holiday Inn in Józefów, Hotel Ossa somewhere between Warsaw and Łódź. Mind you, 80-90% of the best spa hotels are either in the mountains or at the seaside.

I would look at somewhere in the Masurian Lakes District - most of the destinations are a 3-4 hours drive from Warsaw. Unofrotunately I can't recommend any spa hotels there.

You might also look at places east of Białystok - quietness and nature guaranteed. The small town of Supraśl might be worth checking out.

Hey Everyone, Thanks for your input. For this trip it looks like we are going to Kazimierz Dolny nad Wislą. To a nice small but charming hotel with a minimal spa.

Thanks again,
Craig
