Hi everyone

I have a very specific worry, I am middle-eastern and I would like to go to a music concert at the Warsaw national football stadium next July but I am worried that I may encounter aggression or confrontation due to my skin colour - am I being too cautious or not?

I hope not because I would love to visit Warsaw and go to this concert. Unfortunately I experienced some racism when I was in Gdansk in March this year, I loved Gdansk but do not want to experience something like this again

I have heard that I would not be safe at football matches but should I avoid going to the stadium for a concert too?

I really, really appreciate any responses. Thank you

You don't have to affraid...also sorry for the Polish idiots in Gdansk.

As said stupidity is a kind of worldwide problem. Most of the people who are doing thing like you experienced in Gdansk are just idiots not real racist...

In any case of problems you can always call security/Police that has to be on the stadium during events...

I wonder if the roof on the stadium will be open or cloesed (search in google sth. about roof on the Polish national stadium if you don't understand the joke) ;)

Obviously after 9/11 people in civilised countries are not very friendly towards those from middle east but I wouldn't worry about Warsaw. Fortunately, we don't have muslims here and mostly because of that we have no problems when they come as tourists. However, you must remember to go straight to the centre or your hotel after the concert as the area near stadium is quite dodgy at night.
