I'd like to recommend Aparthotel Kadetus (www.aparthotel24.com). Years of experience, young, helpful staff, really good sleep quality.

Auschwitz is a terrible place, but for sure it is necessary to go there. Until you get there, you're not able to realise what people have done to other people. Exceptional lesson of history.

You can get there by yourself and visit the place alone (in a high season you can only join a group) or book a tour, so you woulnt be worried about the transport/ guide.
