HI all,

As I use TT forum a lot to plan my trips (thank you all) so this time I decided to post some info.

I was in Georgia and Armenia with two friends for 3 weeks between August and September.

Some comments:

Speaking at least some Russian helps a lot.

Marshrutka’s prices:
Tbilisi –Kazbegi – 10 GEL
Tbilisi – Kutaisi - 10 GEL
Kutaisi- Gelati - 1 GEL
Kutaisi – Prometeus Cave – 3 GEL, you need to go to Tskautubo (1 GEL) cross the bazaar and catch another marshrutka. We paid 2 GEL per person and the driver waited for us at the exit of the cave.
Vardzia- Borjomi - 8 GEL
Mccheta- Tbilisi 1 GEL
bus 37 to the airport 0,5 GEL = 50 tetri

Train tickets:
Batumi – Yerevan (the cheapest - plackarta) 40,39 GEL
Kutaisi – Batumi 4 GEL (3 hours)
Borjomi Park Station - Mccheta 2 GEL (4,5h and really crowded:)

Prometeus cave (near Kutaisi) – 6 GEL entrance ticket and 7 GEL boat ride.

For accommodation we always paid 20 GEL regardless the standard.

Water in Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Kutaisi and Batumi is drinkable. In Borjomi it had a weird smell so I didn't try.

As for food we bought fruits, vegetables and lavash (fantastic bread!).

Regards, Nat

Thanks. Any advice for Kazbegi? I'll be up there next week.
