I will be traveling to Prague in the spring and would like to take a 2 day trip to Brno (I have heard great things about it)
Can someone plese provide me with information or website links to the train or bus schedule between these two cities? And for those of you who have made this trip, which is the best way (train or bus) in both price and scenery?

We're going to Prague from 28th Dec - 5th Jan, but unfortunately the accommodation we'd reserved has fallen through. We could get somewhere from 1st - 5th Jan, but are looking for somewhere to stay from 28th - 31st.
I realise a lot of places are likely to be booked out, but does anyone have any suggestions on where there may still be availability? Or would we be better off looking for somewhere else (like Brno?)

am planning on meeting some mates in Prague. we've all got our own things going on but are going to meet up at a beer place for a few drinks. all aussies, two of us like beer, the other scotch (but i'm sure he'll do as the romans do). i read the LP Prague book not long ago but forgot to note their suggestions (have since returned the book to the library)!! can you guys suggest for us? somewhere central and not too expensive but still fun n "authentic" is best.

i'm heading towards prague on friday for a long weekend - any tips for indie clubs/shopping/lifestyle? are there special districts with a more "alternative" lifestyle? which pubs/bars/clubs would you recommend? i found some thinks on google like the club "heartbeats" and the shop "mýrnyx tyrnyx" for shopping, but maybe you guys have some other recommendations? thanks!

I will be in Prague Dec 21 to the 29th and I am looking for a cottage/chalet/small house or apt. Some people are meeting me there so I would need at least 2 bedrooms and cooking facilities. Maybe near Old town. Also near where I can buy a tree and near any Christmas fairs or Bizarres. Small animals will be there too so it needs to be pet friendly. So any suggestions as to websites I can look at and also how far from the airport these places are. Any info would greatly be appreciated…

Today I decided to read the fine print on my car rental agreement. I NEVER look at these but for some reason I did this time. My friend and I are looking for budget accomodation in Litomysl. Our budget is... well, as we are students crippling under 5 years of student loan: the cheaper the better! Litomysl is not even in my LP for Eastern Europe and there are no hostels listed in Hostelworld. we're going to Prague on 22-27 of Dec and planning to visit Olomouc for 1 day. Does anyone know, which day is better to visit - 24, 25 or 26th of Dec? I checked train schedule idos.cz - as far as i understand, they have so many trains to and from Olomouc as in non-public holidays time. Is it possible for Christmas? Should we do seats reservation in advance because of Christmas?
And if we will decide to spend 1 night in Olomouc - am i right understand that we can use that return…
