Hi Everyone,

How is the weather in Prague in March? For first time visitors, do you recommend going in March or November? Originally we planned to go on our trip in mid-late November, but my husband thinks that the weather in November doesn't do the city justice for first time visitors as much as March would. So he's thinking about pushing the trip to late March, maybe April. What do you all think?

Thanks!

I visited Prague in late March and the weather was fine. I wore a fleece jacket, but it was never too cold. There was even a 1/2 marathon being run in Prague while we were there.

November's weather can be fairly grim-on the other hand, the first snow of the winter is a lovely sight.

Late March/early April could still be quite chilly and you're never guaranteed sunshine, but at least the days (daylight hours) will be longer than in November.

avoid long easter weekend-often early april-the city is OVERRun with germans and austrians. For the rest: toss a coin, both monthes have both very bad, average and good days-and you never ever will know what it will be on your booked days-untill after. and yes, from late march more daylight (not necessarily sunshine) as in nov-but from late nov sometims/some places a Xmas sfere.

We were in Prague this past Easter. It was a little chilly, we wore light jackets, but the sun was out most of the time and we walked everywhere. The subway will get you to most of the major tourist destinations, so you're out of the weather.

Both times will be cold, but March will probably be a bit better than November. Prague has great Easter markets if that's something that interests you. They usually take place in Wenceslas and Old Town Square.
