Heya, i'm sure you've prob already heard about Ryan Air, but in case you haven't, definately worth having a look. It is the airline for Europe that does really good cheap flights. Sometimes you can even find return flights for 10-20 euros. I flew from Barcelona Spain, to Marrakech Morocco (a different continent!!) for 30 or 40 euros! Also, i flew from London to Budapest for about 40-50 pounds, and that was with Wizzair. I caught many trains within Eastern Europe, and it was really nice with scenery, but the main reason was that everything is so close, so i found it pointless to fly.
However, i found that many times, the train ticket costs almost as much, and sometimes more than a plane ticket. Don't know about you, but i would much rather spend 2 hours on a plane, as opposed to 10 on a train.
I online booked one of my plane tickets in Australia (where i was leaving from), and this was not an issue. They sent a confirmation letter to my email address, which also doubles as the ticket. I also booked a flight when in Europe, and once again, this was not an issue...it's the same proccess. The only thing with RyanAir is the 15 kg bag weight limit. I was in Poland with my friends clothes tied around my waist, undies shoved into pockets, and wearing all 3 of my coats to keep the bag at 15 kg's. Just make sure you check the weight before u check in ut luggage! Thats a definate pro to train travel-u can carry as much as you want.
Anyway, hope this may help. Hvae a great trip!

Praha-Berlin the cheapest is probably by bus though no need to make a choise when a bus schedule doesn1t fit your plans. Trains are more frequent.

Berlin-Paris definitely by plane, much faster and cheaper. Only case to choose a train is for night train and than a ticket should be bought in advance to get a good price (on intenet possible).

Flying is crazy and unnecessary, you're not a business traveller in a mad hurry.

Prague-Berlin takes a few hours centre to centre, along the very scenic Elbe Valley. Eat lunch in the diuning car with a glass of wine and forget crowded airports and all the security hassles. The train ride is part of the experience.

The fastest way (in effect) from Berlin to Paris is overnight on the 'Perseus' City Night Line sleeper train, city centre to city centre, with couchettes and sleepers (some sleepers with private shower & toilet).

It's cheap, too, if you book in advance at www.bahn.de/citynightline</a> , fares from 49 euros including couchette - probably less than the cost of a taxi out to the airport, and it'll save a hotel bill too!
