My friend and I are thinking of taking an evening river cruise in Prague for her birthday, preferably including dinner on the boat. Does anyone have any recommendations for good companies to go with? We've heard mixed reports - someone loved their trip (but we forgot to ask which company they went with) and someone else had a horrible time (a "buffet" of fish fingers washed down with over priced drinks!).

When I was in Prague we did a thing with a company that was called Prague Tours. We went on an 'Ulitimate Tour'. It was a bit expensive at 1200kc a pop but was well worth it. I don't know where you can book for this because we did it through our hotel. However, I do remember that it started at 10.30 at the statue in wenclas square and lasted for 6 hours.
You slowly work your way towards the castle at the other end of the city and included use of the public transport system and a big meal and drink on a river cruise at lunchtime.
