Hi,

Will be in Prague from 24th – 28th dec but really only have 3 full days of site seeing.
With such limited time I was planning to use this these frommers itinearies but spread it out in 3 days . I will be doing the xmas markets on the 24th and a walking tour first thing on xmas day to give me an idea of what I want to see more than others.

I have used the frommers itineraries to provide me with a skelton of my trip however I'm working some crazy hours up to xmas and don't have as much time to research. I was wondering if you fellow travellers think I have enough time to do all this? as well as what you might also recommend or take out?
My final question is, I will be landing in prague on the 24th and have read that alot of places will be closed. Will this be the case for supermarkets? On the 24th I just want to purchase grocers to make a roasted dinner for my gf and i.

also, in terms of nightlife. should i go to cocktail bars or clubs? or what do you recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have never been a fan of frommers and can only open one of these links.
http://www.prague.net/itineraries-in-prague
have a look at this link ,theres are some suggested itinaries there, the whole website has lots of great info as well.
Prague is a relarively small city as far as tourist sites are concerned so it is easy to get around them all,the transport system is brilliant and much of the main toursit parts are pedestrianised,
Depending when you are arriving you may have difficulty finding supermarkets open but if early in the day you should be ok,many of the smallele asian run shops will be open, also on the 25th you will find most places will not open until about noon possibly later.
can't help with the nightlife i am way to old for nightclubs.
BTW where are you staying?

Prague is a small ciy, tourist sights wise. 3 days is enough time to see most of the big things. Honestly, you could get lost in the city, and the architecture there is so beautiful, you will have a really pleasant walk just about anywhere you are.

Obviously the Charles Bridge (at night) Powder Tower, the Obecni Dome, and the Old Town Square are of course musts--

I recommend you read the links

Hopefully you find these helpful.. Lmk if so.

Don't know if you have heard but Vaclav Havel the first president of the Czech republic died on Sunday, his funeral is being held on friday 23rd and there will be a fair bit of mourning at his passing, you may find the city will have a much more somber mood this Christmas.
