My wife and I are taking a trip to Italy in March, but wanted to take a side trip to Prague for 4 days from Rome. We have been looking at flights, but wanted to know if it is a good time to go. I know weather can be iffy that time of year, but is it normally a bad time to visit or would it be worthwhile?

Thanks for any help.

I was in Prague in December and the weather was unusually warm. They are predicting almost no winter right now (thank you very much global warming) so based on this March would be a fine time to visit and it is not high season so prices are cheaper

Some people prefer to travel during low season (winter) due to fewer tourists, lower prices, etc.

Whether it's worth it to you is a personal decision.

I have been to Prague in early march,it can get cold and it can snow, but the toursit areas are cleared of snow pretty quickly, yes the place can be a lot quieter and much easier to visit the sights. resturants can be pretty quiet too, good deals on hotels at that time of year.
