Dobry den/ hello etc

In about 8 days I will be travelling to Prague, arriving there about 17.00 23/11/08. I will make my own way to the Elf hostel in Zizcov (Praha3).

I have about 6 days to explore Prague, Plzen, and perhaps Olumouc and Brno (time permitting).

First of all if there are other travellers who fancy to meet for a drink/meal or walking/sightseeing who are in the area during the time 23-29/11/08.

Also I would like some advice about:

Train travel/ reservations do I need to reserve seats on trains to Brno and Olumouc?

I have ordered some travellers cheques, where is the best place to change these, banks or exchanges?

I am also worried about what to wear, is the weather very cold?

Anyone available to help me please?

I have the Lonely Planet guide to the Czech and Slovakian Republics as well as the Czech Phrase book!

I look forward to hearing your comments etc

Thank you (dekuji)

Jon

There are at least 20 direct trains a day between prague and olomouc and you won't need to reserve. If you find yourself making that trip with somebody else, be sure to buy one ticket for two people, as you'll qualify for the small groups discount, which is at least 25%...

CANcel those TC's-a waste of time and money-bring your ATMcard-or plain cash-MUCH betetr rates for cash only at SOME private exchanges=NOT all in Praha. NOone-dont you really have any sense? will know how the actual wheather will be on 23/11=next week. And if thats cold for YOU is also a gamble. For going out+back same day to OLO buy a dayticket=sitova jedno denny jizdenka=much chepaer as 2 singles.

The temperature will be around zero in late November. I recommend you to use a credit card. It is better than cheques.
