Hi everyone,

I'll be going to Prague early March and have been scouting for suitable accomodation. We've decided to stay at Old Town, since that's where most of the attractions are? It's a budget trip so I was quite happy to have found this accomodation, Jilska Apartment at http://www.citybreaksprague.com/index.html

The thing is, for a 3 night stay the price quoted via email is about 42 euros for a whole apartment. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this accomodation before? It seems a bit too good to be true?

Thanks for any help!

seems very cheap though you do get some good deals at this time of year. might be worth asking on trip advisors and checking reviews through them or Flipkey.
I would have thought 42euros would be right for a 2 night stay but maybe they are doing a deal as it is quite late to get another booking.Jilska is a pretty popular area and close to the Old town Square, just seems too cheap to me for that area
I can;t open the link to the location that does worry me but if you can open it then fair enough.
Have you tried phoning the numbers on the website or doing ant searches to see if there are problems with that company.
sorry but it just not feel right to me.
i will try and do a bit of snopping a see if I can get any info.
have you looked at any other properties?
i know Prague pretty well and can help with location ,transport links etc.

some not bad reviews on TA so might be ok, I think you will find you are being offered a smaller apartment than the one show quite possibly in the attic space, but it is a great area to be based in and a couple of my favourite bars are within crawling distance.

just wondering ,could that be 42 euros per person?

Are you sure it's not per night ? The website says the price for the apartment is GBP36 per night which at current rates is euro 42/43.
Or per person on a 3 nights for the price of 2 type deal which would also come to euro 42/43 but per person.

Hi al,

I'm really sorry!! My mistake, the price from the email was 42 euros per night. Sorry, I was counting per person (there're 3 of us)

It still sounds very cheap though for an apartment, no?

And Ive checked tripadvisor, the thing is, I'm not sure if the one in the website is the same as tripadvisor, the latter is quoting me 80 euros per night. The reason I'm slightly worried is because there's only a UK number listed in the website and there isnt an address for the apartment.

42 euros per nigh seems not bad for the time of year plus its a late booking and they obviousltywant to fill it up.,the reviews I have looked at seems genuine, but it does appear that you may have to pick up keys form another location (not unusual.)
If you do do that can i make a suggestion that you use a Shuttle service form the airport.rthey can take you to get the keys and take you to the apartmnet.

I have used this company many times and consider the owner a friend, he is American with a Czech wife and most of his drivers are engllisg or american but even his czech drivers speak english.

btw I presume the apartment is in the Street Jilska and according to TA it is Jilska 4 which seems right to me.it is a pretty narrow street not many cars get down there but it is a very busy pedertain street with a big flow of foot traffic going to and from the old town,

I've also used Prague Airport Shuttle a few times. Very friendly but if you do book them make sure you have a phone and contact number in case they are running late.
