We are planning to cycle from Cesky Krumlov, Czeck Republic to Linz, Austria. We have an 8-year old with us, on a tandum with Dad. Does anyone have any information about that route. (terriain , road surface, views, thigs to see and do). With a young cycle buddy it is good to be more informed tha usual about the routes.
This will be a side-trip. Our main trip will be two weeks split between the Salzkammergut and along the Danube in Austria. Planning around 30 miles per day. We could also take a couple of days off cycling and simply shuttle to Cesky Krumlov if that is more advisable.
Also we saw somewhere that a natural overnight along the route is a town called Bad Leonfelden. Any thoughts on this town - or is it better to stay somewhere else or to push throughand get to Linz in one day. One day may be a little long for our daughter but some of the route seems to be down hill to the Danube River. It all depends on the terrain and road surface.
Thanks for your help!
