Cost of renting apartment in Praha and cost of life

So I received a job offer from a company in Prague and another offer elsewhere and need to make a decision. The decision is to be made rather fast as both companies gave me a deadline... My choice will partially depend on the cost of life, how much I would be saving,etc.

Especially about the cost of life I heard a lot of conflicting stories. SOme people told me for 8000 CZK to 10000 CZK I could rent a nice apartment in a nice neighbourhood (P3 / Zizkov for example) and that this price would be rent + electricity/water/heating included.
Other people told me this is impossible unless you have a flat in a very bad area, and that for a decent flat in a decent area you need to count on 15000 CZK or not much below.

So seriously, how much would I need to take into consideration for a one bedroom apartment with shower, or for a studio with shower? I mean, rent and utilities (electricity, water etc) combined, how much would I be paying per month?

Note: I have mild autism, so sharing an apartment with somebody is not possible. i really need to live on my own, not just a room in a shared flat. But I am a single guy so a studio-apartment or a small apartment for 1 person is enough, I dont need lot of space. But how much would I need to count on?

Secondly, can someone tell me the average cost of buying food, going to the laundry, internet cafes, etc?

I need to have an idea about how much I would spend per month, and then see which of both opportunities I got is the best offer.

One room appartment in a wider center of Prague would be about 12-15 thousand Kc including utilities. 8000 is definitely impossible, I am sorry.
Concerning the cost of life - for the beginning you should count with about 10 thousand Kc per month.

Sorry, crackedpleasures, there´s no way you can get a decent flat for 10000 CZK.For this price you´re looking at an old and small thing way out of the centre.
As for food - same prices as in W Europe, clothes usually 30% more expensive, internet cafes about 50-60 CZK/hour, restaurants/pubs/bars cheaper than in the West. No idea about laundry though.

How much do you negotiate in Prague? In Euro or in CZK? Monthly salary 1600 euros Brutto is slightly less than 1200 euros Netto, f*ing Czech taxes if you get salary here in CR. Regular flat in Prague 550-600 euros month, less only if you are lucky, off Prague 400-500 euros. Transportation and food is cheap.

This is a tough one. As far as Zizkov goes, I don't know about a top area.

If you want somewhere for yourself then you are looking above 12000kc per month for a decent place/area. You may wanna look at an unfurnished place. I'm sure there are great deals out there.

I lived years ago in Prague in an area called Holesovice. It was near Letna that was a hotspot but not as expensive. It's in Prague 7 but with great access to the absolute centre. Very walkable. If you have time, take a look around and you will find deals. For 10000kc you will receive a 1 room with kitchenette that will probably have 20sq. m. It depends on how you want to live.

I get some of my clothes dry cleaned in a shop near Narodni Trida. I pay 180 kc for a suit jacket, and 90 kc for a skirt or trousers. Hopefully that's helpful.
