Hi,
As it is my daughter's 18th birthday we are going to Prague for Christmas. We have a problem finding somewhere to eat out on Christmas eve night. We are vegetarians and the 2 vegetarian restaurants I know of are closed on Christmas eve. Can anyone please suggest somewhere for us to eat? It does not have to be exclusively vegetarian as long as there is something on the menu we can eat.
Thanks
Graham

You'll be lucky to find anything at all open on christmas eve.
Here's a link that might be helpful:

i don't know whether this restaurant will stay open for christmas eve, but during your stay you must visit. they are hare krishna so it is very possible that they'd be open during the christmas season. they're a metro ride out of the main tourist area, located at palmovka on the yellow line. turn right when you step off the metro, you'll walk down a long, dreary hallway before exiting the station. once outside, turn left and walk, past the graffiti birds on your left, and the restaurant is tucked away on the right side of the street just past an asian restaurant of some sort. it's across the street from a small grocery market. it's really cheap, the food is fresh and delicious and always vegetarian, and you're welcome to second helpings for free. try climbing the ladder to the loft.
best wishes

it depends where you are staying in Prague. The only problem is that stuff might not be open on Christmas Eve. I don't know about the Czech Republic but other places in Europe close and celebrate Christmas at midnight so nothing is open.
We stayed in a lovely hotel near the castle and they recommended a vegetarian indian call Maly Buddha. It was great and friendly. I think the street was called Uvoz.
