Hello!

Is wearing your swimsuit and a sarong everywhere all day and night appropriate along the Dalmatian coast and while walking around the major cities like Dubrovnik and Split and Zadar? Or is this too risque?

Any other dress code tips for 35-year old women and men in Zagreb and Budapest?

Thanks!

Ling

Hello!

Mainly, I am challenged by how to hit all the places we want to experience + with the least amount of checking in and out of accommodations + not renting a car + avoiding day trips more more than 2 hours away. How should we break up our trip – where should we make our home bases?

Fly into Dubrovnik around 130PM on a Monday in September.
A. How can we get to Lopud or Mjlet accomodations?
B. Should we stay in Lopud or Mljet? (we will visit whichever island we do not stay at)
C. Or should we…

Dear all,

First of all - Thanks for taking the time to read my post! I'm really hoping to get some ideas and suggestions from the local experts on specific sections of my itinerary. I've also posted my questions on Western Europe section so as to ensure I am able to reach the right experts.

Some context and background: My husband and I are traveling from Dubai to Europe 18-Sep to 15-Oct. We are in our early thirties, and fond of scenic destinations with light/ moderate hiking. Typically on our…

Hi

I would like to plan a trip to Croatia next June based around the Hideout festival I will be attending on the Island of Pag. I plan to be in Novalja for up to one week with another week to spare.

I would like to see Plitvice Lakes with the possibility of staying there overnight and also visit Mljet and Dubrovnik. Can anyone help me with how far these all are from each other or if this is totally unrealistic? If so then what points of interest are near to Novalja? I plan to fly to Zadar.

Th…

Secondly, If I cant purchase it, is there any way around it?

And Thirdly, can I drive that car back to the uk? I've read…

We have 4 days to spend on an island from sept 2 to sept 6 and we have a car rental , which would you recommend , Vis or Brac ,or both, and lodging if you know on both Vis and Brac , we are not resort people but if it makes sense , money would not be an issue and we would stay at "resorty" place to have a beach , and view of the water

thanks

We have witnessed a violation of Mljet National Park environment, done by a chartered yacht. On Aug 13 we were in a little sea cove, not far from the lake. Mooring in this cove is strictly forbidden for all boats, due to the fragile ecosystem.
Around mid-day a large (33 m) charter boat called Fortuna from Zadar entered and moored there. Some guys were fishing from the boat, also strictly forbidden. They stayed there for several hours, undisturbed.
This is quite dangerous for the invaluable…

I'm planning to do an island-hopping trip through Croatia, starting in late September. I've got lots of time, so I plan to spend about 6 weeks to 2 months total, staying a week or two in one spot before moving on. I realize the weather will be starting to cool off, but that doesn't bother me.

I've been reading about the sobes and apartmans, and I'm wondering if those are available year-round, or only in high-season. As I'll probably be staying in Croatia until some time in November, I'm trying…
