beware of the hotel villa lilli in rovinj. my wife and i were quoted one price online (we registered for 2 people) and a were charged double upon check out and told the prices quoted were always for 1 person. we travel a lot and this is a first. the hotel is very modest, our room was tiny, it is clean, and breakfast was dreadful, and it is NOT a short walk to the town. it is a 10 minute walk and dark and dangerous feeling at night. the hotel is in a suburb.

I will be in Zagreb for work in mid-September and I have one day free during which I'd love to visit Plitvice National Park. Is it possible to do this on public transport? If so, where does the bus go from etc. Or is it easier to do a tour? If so, can anyone recommend a good company and how much does it cost roughly?

I normally travel independently but seeing as I only have a day I'm not sure how straightforward this will be!

I would like some help with an itinerary from Dubrovnik to Trieste in 9 days! I know this is ambitious.
We will be arriving in Dubrovnik by ferry from Bari, Italy hopefully on the friday and leaving the next sunday from Trieste.

Places I really want to visit are Dubrovnik, Split, Plitvice NP and Pula. Also an island....any suggestion on which one would be great. I've heard good things about Hvar, Brac and Cres.

Ive heard there is a bus from Zadar to spilt then a ferry, are these the most convieant and reasonbly priced options? Or would it be worth hiring a car for the 5 days we are there??

We stayed at Jagoda & Ante's Guesthouse on Hvar in June. The owners were very nice, but we got bed bug bites which haunted us for the next 2+ weeks.

We have 10 nights to explore between Dubrovnik and Split before catching a ferry to Italy. We will be arriving on th 23rd Sept and leave 2nd October.

We have three nights booked in Dubrovnik and from then on are free to explore!! Whats the best islands to visit? What should we do for our extra 7 nights???

We're 3 guys traveling to Spilt, Croatia from Sep. 5th till 10th to attend a friend's wedding, wedding is on Sep. 8th, any advise on how to make the best use of the remaining days (Sep.5, 6, 7, 9)?
