Hi,

We are in Zadar this coming weekend for four days and would like to do a day trip to Krka National Park but not via a tour operator. Is it possible to do it using public transport? Bus/boat.

Also will it be warm enough for a dip?

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Croatia for approximately 7-10 days at the end of June/beginning of July. We want to see as much of Croatia as possible. We were thinking about doing 1 major city (Split, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, etc.) then the rest island hopping. We are meeting up with friends on Krk to stay there perhaps 3 days. Any recommendation on the route, what to hit, see, do, how to get there, places to stay? We would really appreciate it!

question one: until what time are there ferries to cross from Karlobag to Pag ? frequencies? and price for a small car?

question two: is there anything special to visit on the way from Rijeka (we know the place) but not from this town to Karlobag.
Any nice spots, to stop for a swim ( sand or not?) nice old preserve old towns or casltes on the way?

Hey , Hoping to get a better idea for a 9-10 day driving vacation in Croatia sometime in June ( Dates not fixed yet ) but will get there around the 8-10th June . As of now I just know that my wife and me will be flying in and out of Zagreb ( coming in from Frankfurt ) and probably stay between 8-10 days driving the countryside .

We would prefer to drive more through the countryside soaking in the scenery and stopping at smaller quieter scenic towns during our stay with maybe a few nights in…

Hi everybody! Im travelling with my brother, both 22, to Italy and then we took a ferry from Ancona to Split the 10th of June.
We arrived to Split 11/6 7am and we though taking a bus to Dubrovnik to be there like 12:50.
We stay there the 11/6, 12/6 and the 13th go back to Split.
We need to do this:
Dubrovnik-Split-Hvar-Split-Plitvice lakes-Ljublana-Bled-Ljublana-Skocjan caves-Rovinj-Pula-Rijeka (flight the 18/6 to Germany from Rijeka)

I've potentially got about ten days to spend in Croatia in early August. I'd like to split my time between a beach and sight seeing/small trip to Bosnia. I'd like to do some of this trip with others but can't afford anything really expensive. Does anyone know of any local organisations that run trips in Croatia or trips into Bosnia for 4 days. I'm looking for something for single, slightly older travellers in there 40's. Any tips, greatly received.Thanks.

We've (couple mid 20s) been looking at going to Dugi Otok for a few days whilst we are in Zadar in September. Looking at other peoples posts and bus websites it seems public transport is not very frequent so best to hire our own transport. Does anyone know how easy/ expensive it is to hire a scooter in Zadar to take to Dugi Otok with us for maybe 2-3 days? Is this a feasible idea?
Also if anyone has any recommendations of where to hire scooters in Zadar, or costs?

Hello I plan to to go Croatia in Summer for 10-14 days. I will fly in and out of Split.
I will stay in Split for a 2-3 nights and then would like to go to an island and to Dubrownik or Zadar.
I dont like to hire a car. How can I get best from Split to Zadar and from Split to Dubrownik?

I look for a simple 2-3 star hotel/pension with breakfast in Split, Dubrownik and mayba hvar. Any recommendatoin
Buget not more than 65Euro per night for a single room is that reasonable for August 2013.

Hi, can anyone please tell me if the border in Metkovic to Bosnia ever closes? Is it possible to cross at any time? I would also like to know if it is necessary to pay anything at the border?
