I'm planning a bike trip all along the croatian coast. I would especially like to pass through whole Istria because it's marvelous nature for biking experience, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could stay in Poreč for 2 nights? I mean, I need someone who has experienced their service (best hotels, private units?) and where can i get more information ? When Dalmatia concerned, there I have talked with some friends that found me accueil but for istria, specifically Poreč gets hard.

I will be in Split for a little more than one day, which happens to be May Day... How strongly is Labor Day celebrated there (shop / museum closure, public events...)?

I'm a little bit concerned, coming from a place where May Day is "Dead" Day, nothing open, no transportation and plenty of demonstrations...

Just wanting to hear from anyone who has done this area before.

We arrive on a Friday midday and have until Monday 6pm to spend in the area.

We want to go to Novi Sad and was thinking of heading to Belgrade the day after.

Is it too rushed to cover all 3 places in 3 and a half days?

Car hire from Osijek to Serbia a good idea? Seems that buses are good in the area but we might want to drive to places along the way

I'm planning a trip to Europe for September and I want to visit Rovinj but getting there from Zagreb without a car seems difficult. According to http://www.buscroatia.com/ and http://www.akz.hr/default.aspx?id=260 there is at least 1 bus per day only takes 3 hours (as opposed to 5-6 hours) but the buses aren't timed to allow a daytrip. Do these sites have accurate timetables? Are there tour companies that run daytrips to Rovinj from Zagreb? I found a couple of companies that offered Istrian…

Hey there guys, myself and another 20 year old English guy (both straight) are heading to Split and Hvar on July 28th for a few weeks and wondered if anyone would care to join us? Both easy going and love meeting new people.

My girlfriend and I are planning a 3 week trip around Croatia and neighbouring countries in June. We'd like to travel by campervan (retrofitted van with bed, sink and fridge) and to avoid the hassle or buying/selling would prefer to rent one.
Can anyone recommend a company that rents small campers in Croatia? I've had no luck as yet with Google or pther threads in this forum so any advice much appreciated!
