Hi all,

I am trying to get from Split to Zagreb by train on Thursday 05 June. The original plan was to take ICN 522 which leaves Split at 13.40 and arrives in Zagreb at 19.48 - this connection was suggested by bahn.de, Seat61 etc. as running daily - as opposed to the earlier ICN 520 morning train which would only run in summer.

Now, however, it appears that the Croatian Railways have some days ago (24 April?) made a lot of surprise changes to the timetables for this summer - one consequence of which, according to the below document, that I don't fully understand, would be that the ICN 522 now only runs from 14 June to 14 September 2014, whereas the ICN 520 runs all year. This is my interpretation of the following link, top of page 4 / bottom of page 3.

Could you confirm for me whether this is true?

Can I no longer take the 13.40 train from Split to Zagreb on 5 June or did I mis-understand this? Also, has anyone seen this change posted at a train station or so or is anyone able to verify this?

If it's true, I might have to switch to taking the bus (because I don't want to take the other train at 8 in the morning), would be sad to miss out on the apparently scenic train journey though... Advice?

Many thanks

Michael

According to the online timetable on the web of the Croatian Railways (introduce on it the relevant data to get the results), the 13:40 train doesn't run on June 5th.
