Staying near plitvice lakes

Hi!

I have limited time in Croatia but Plitvice Lakes is definitely something I want to see. It sounds like it is absolutely a good idea to stay overnight and get in the park early. I'm on a budget, and it seems that Grabovac has the cheapest options for overnights. Does anyone know if it is easy to get in to the park from there? Are there buses or could i rent a bicycle? I really want to stay overnight but everything close is around at least 100 USD a night! Any tips appreciated. IF thats the only way to do it though, I'll splurge...

Hi,

A lot of the families around the park are renting rooms or apartments, and the price will probably be more affordable then the hotels. Try checking out some rental advertising sites, for example air bnb. You can definitely get accomodation closer to the park than Grabovac Hotel.
