My husband and I will be in Dubrovnik the night of our anniversary. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, somewhat nice but not too fancy, local restaurant?
The Old Town is packed with restaurants, there's one in almost every alley or backyard, all of them are catering to tourists, some are good and some not. But everywhere, you feel the touch of the Old Town, so you can eat almost anywhere. I suggest that you take a walk through Dubrobvnik during the day to choose one for the evening.

Orhan restaurant, in small pirate port, just next to old town, its my favorite place, and I am local. Be sure to book table in advance!
There's one just by the harbour (not where the boats come in but on the other side) which does amazing seafood at a reasonable price & in the most romantic setting in town.
We also loved Proto (sp), there’s one in the old town & one somewhere else on one of the hills (apparently the pope eat at that one when he visited). We eat at the one in the old town. Not cheap (1 starter & 2 mains plus 2 big beers came to around £40) but it was REALLY good.
