Hello,

We are planning to take the following ferries later this summer:

  1. Jadrolinija Catamaran service from Split to Hvar on Sept 2, 2008 -- 3:00pm departure, 3:50pm arrival.
  2. Krilo Catamaran service from Hvar to Korcula on Sept 3, 2008 -- 6:10pm departure, 7:25pm arrival.

Do we need to book these in advance or is it ok to show up at the ticket purchasing location 1-2 hours before departure? I assume the ticket purchasing location for Jadrolinija would be easy to find at the Split ferry terminal, and the same would hold true for purchasing the Krilo tickets in Hvar. We aren't bringing a vehicle.

Thanks,

No need to book, turn up an hour ahead and get a ticket. Couldn't be easier.

You can not book a ticket for Catamaran (if it is a Jadrolinija line www.jadrolinija.com). I think you can only buy it on the day of the travel. So if you want to be sure, buy tickets in the morning if possible and board 20 min before departure if you want good places.

Katamaran at 3.pm sometimes can be full because that katamaran go - Split - hvar - Vela luka... if you can buy ticket at 10 am that be great...

Hi Croatia,

Thanks for the tip. We'll be arriving by bus from Mostar as early as possible -- seems like buses leave between 6-7am which should get us to Split between 10-11am. We'll plan to buy the ticket upon arrival (I believe the bus and ferry stations are nearby, so we can buy the ferry ticket as soon as we get off the bus). Worst case the ferry is full, I see there is another one from Split to Hvar departing at 6pm, so we should still be ok.

Thanks!
