I am trying to find a place to stay in Bol on the island Brac in Croatia for just myself, August 4 - 10/08. I prefer cheap (as you can get in August in Croatia). I have tried booking CroParadise Bol hostel online but its saying there is no availablility, which I find hard to believe. Hotel Kastil is not respondng to my online reservation queries. I know there are usually lots of apartment rooms available, but again I will not be able to afford much. I am nervous about just showing up and finding a place through the tourist agency, for fear there might be limited places to stay. Any ideas??

It isn't that surprising that hotels would be booked there in August. I bet you'd be able to score a room for yourself though. If not Bol then certainly in another town on Brac.

i can suggest you this link [http://www.extendedstaybooker.com] where you can search for hotels in the entire Croatia and if you find a suitable one you may even book it online. i hope you find a cheap one here. cheers

Do you have a tent? I camped at Camp Kito and would really recommend it. The family who run the site are lovely and will pick you up from the ferry. It isn't too far to walk to the harbour and beaches although I wouldn't advise walking back at night if you are alone, simply because it is PITCH black. Alternatively, I think that you would be completely fine just turning up. There are always soooo many people waiting at the harbour when the ferries arrive and you are usually spoilt for choice!
