FYI - the island of Šolta is nothing short of spectacular. We recently sailed there and moored in the bay of Stromorska which in it self is worth a least a couple of days stay (highly recommend the restaurant Oh La La - fantastic food if you have time order the whole octopus and/or lamb cooked under the bell (Peka)).
This story is for serious Olive Oil lovers and those who are simply fascinated by the process of making the same. Have you ever tried olive oil as you would wine tasting - well this is the place to do it! If you give Olynthianatura a call they will come and pick you up for a tour or you can walk the approx. 3km up hill passing rosemary and olive trees everywhere - suggest walking downhill :) Olynthia is near the medieval town of Gornje Selo which depicts Dalmatian architecture at its best.
Back Olynthia - fantastic, olive oil to die for (hence I brought home 3 bottles) and they couldn't look after you any better if they tried. The experience is an absolute must if you have the glorious opportunity to visit this beautiful island and its timeless people and tradition. Go to www.olynthia.hr to find out more.
